The bustling resorts of Kuta Beach & Legian (West coast, South Bali) have merged together in recent years and are the centre of Bali's night life with a great number of restaurants, bars, discos, and shopping areas.

Seminyak (West coast, South Bali) is fast becoming the area for trendy bars, restaurants and shops and is ideal for those who wish to be away from the main tourist areas, but still have easy access to the main facilities.

Inland, Ubud (Central Bali) is the cultural capital of Bali with a high concentration of craft shops, art galleries and museums. The town is quiet after sunset, with the nearby resort of Sayan affording spectacular views over the Ayung River valley.
